South Indian star Nayanthara and her husband, filmmaker Vignesh Shivan, have reportedly purchased a luxury duplex apartment in Chennai’s prestigious Poes Garden locality for Rs 31.5 crore.
According to property registration records accessed through Zapkey, the apartment is located on the fourth and fifth floors of the ‘Legacy’ residential project in Teynampet, one of the city’s most sought-after neighbourhoods.
Poes Garden is known for housing several prominent personalities, including superstar Rajinikanth and former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa.

The newly purchased property reportedly has a super built-up area of 14,369 sq ft, along with an undivided land share of 5,308 sq ft.

Property documents indicate that the sale deed was registered on December 15, 2025, with Landmark Metro Projects Private Limited listed as the seller.
The registration records also reveal that the duplex apartment is jointly owned by the couple. However, Nayanthara holds a 90 percent share, while Vignesh Shivan owns the remaining 10 percent.
The residence also includes eight reserved covered parking spaces in the building’s stilt area, reflecting the scale and exclusivity of the property.
