Mumbai: Actor and model Natasa Stankovic found herself at the centre of online trolling after a video of her dancing at a college event surfaced on social media. While the post attracted criticism from some users, a large section of fans and supporters quickly stepped in to defend her.

Natasa, who was invited as a judge for a duet dance competition at Pillai University in Navi Mumbai, also performed during the event. A clip from her performance was shared online with a caption that took a personal dig at her life following her divorce from cricketer Hardik Pandya.

The caption claimed that Natasa was “unemployed” and had to perform at college events to make a living — a remark that many users called out as insensitive and misogynistic.

Fans shut down trolls

Supporters of Natasa responded strongly, criticising the tone of the post and praising her independence and professionalism.

“Her annual earnings are something you will never earn in your lifetime. Instead of making personal comments, do better things with your life,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “A woman living peacefully, raising her child, working honestly and not creating drama — and still getting targeted.”

Several users pointed out that performing at public events and college festivals is common for actors and artists.

“She was clearly invited as a guest. Even stars like Shraddha Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra attend college fests. What exactly is the problem?” one comment read.

Others highlighted that Natasa is a trained dancer and performer, and such appearances are a legitimate part of her profession.

Divorce and life after

Natasa Stankovic was married to Hardik Pandya from 2020 to 2024. The former couple shares a son, Agastya. Since the separation, Natasa has largely kept a low profile, focusing on work and motherhood.

Hardik Pandya, meanwhile, has been linked to model and actor Mahieka Sharma, though neither has made an official statement regarding the relationship.

The incident has once again sparked discussions online about how women, especially those in the public eye, continue to face disproportionate scrutiny for simply doing their jobs.
