Meghna Kaur likes a wedding outfit that leaves room for dancing. The content creator, known online as @shetroublemaker, described her occasionwear preferences in a June 2025 interview with The Nod, sharing a mix of romantic colours, playful designs and practical packing advice.
Her approach begins with how she wants to feel during the celebration. Looking dressed for the occasion matters, but so does being able to move, enjoy the music and take part without constantly adjusting an outfit.
Three destinations, different dressing needs
At the time of the interview, Kaur said she had attended three weddings that year, in Jaipur, Bangkok and Mumbai.
Her advice for destination celebrations was to consider the weather alongside the event’s mood. Lightweight fabrics were among her essentials, particularly for warmer settings. She also recommended carrying a spare outfit and safety pins to deal with unexpected wardrobe problems.
These details give her approach a practical foundation: planning a look includes thinking about what happens after arriving at the venue.
A pink lehenga and a softer blue look
Kaur’s favourite outfits reflected different sides of her personal style.
She recalled a mehendi look that felt light and appropriate for the function. A hot pink lehenga offered a more exuberant option, while an icy-blue ensemble appealed to her romantic side.
Rather than describing one fixed wedding aesthetic, her choices moved between bright colour and softer dressing. She also emphasised following the dress code, treating the hosts’ chosen theme as part of the enjoyment.
The designers she named
Kaur identified Falguni Shane Peacock, Surbhi Chopra and Papa Don’t Preach among her favourites.
She associated them with different moods: statement dressing, feminine silhouettes and playful design. Those preferences help explain the range in the outfits she discussed.
The interview did not identify the designer of every favourite look, so these names should not be treated as confirmed credits for the pink lehenga or blue ensemble.
Jewellery takes time; the clutch stays practical
Choosing accessories was one part of getting ready that Kaur found less straightforward. She said deciding on jewellery could take her around 45 minutes.
Her carry-along essentials were simpler. She mentioned a miniature perfume, lip gloss and her G7x camera, while lip tint, mints and a snack featured among her clutch contents.
It was a small glimpse into the preparation behind a wedding guest appearance, from finishing touches to items useful over a long celebration.
Her styling advice: keep one focal point
When unsure about a look, Kaur recommended monochrome dressing with either a bold eye or a bold lip, finished with shoes suitable for dancing.
Her suggestions offer a clear starting point for wedding guests: consider the setting, respect the dress code and choose an outfit that feels comfortable enough to enjoy wearing.
She also named Udaipur as her next wedding destination at the time of the conversation. That was a plan shared in June 2025, rather than a newly announced trip.
