Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been photographed together in the United Kingdom for the first time since reportedly returning to England with their two children.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were seen holding hands during a casual visit to a pub in the Cotswolds on October 1, according to photographs obtained by The Sun. The outing offered a rare glimpse of the couple together following their family’s return to the U.K.
Meghan and Harry Keep Their Cotswolds Outing Casual
For the low-key pub visit, Meghan opted for a relaxed outfit featuring a black long-sleeved knit top tucked into matching jeans. She completed the look with white sneakers and oversized sunglasses.
Harry also kept things informal, wearing a blue T-shirt underneath a quilted jacket, paired with medium-wash jeans, gray slip-on shoes and a baseball cap.
The couple were photographed holding hands as they went about their outing.
Meghan and Harry reportedly returned to England with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in late August. Details about where the family is staying have not been publicly disclosed. The Sussexes are also expected to retain their home in Montecito, California.
Harry’s Recent Charity Skydive
The couple’s U.K. sighting came shortly after Harry travelled to Toronto, Canada, for a charity skydive.
Harry completed the jump alongside Bailey, the grandson of World War II veteran Ed Marshall. Harry had previously met Marshall during a visit to Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto and the two reportedly developed a friendship.
The original plan was for Harry and the 102-year-old veteran to skydive together. However, Marshall was not medically cleared to make the jump, so his grandson stepped in.
After completing the skydive, Harry spoke about the experience and said there was no question of disappointing Marshall.
“Ed’s been really excited about this. There’s no version where you can let a 102-year-old veteran down,” Harry told CTV after the jump.
Marshall was able to watch the event from the ground. Harry later joked about the possibility of the veteran attempting the jump despite not receiving medical clearance.
Harry Called Meghan After Landing
Following the skydive, Harry said one of the first things he did after landing was call Meghan.
Asked whether he had needed to persuade his wife to approve the risky charity challenge, Harry said she had not needed convincing but was relieved once he was safely back on the ground.
“I didn’t have to convince her, but she was relieved once we were down,” Harry said.
He added that the lengthy preparation before the jump had apparently left Meghan waiting anxiously for confirmation that he had landed safely.
The Cotswolds outing now provides another public glimpse of the couple as they balance their family life between the United Kingdom and their long-established home in California.
