Meera Nandan Stranded in Thailand Amid West Asia Tensions, Expresses Deep Gratitude to UAE

Malayalam actor and UAE-based radio jockey Meera Nandan has revealed that she and her husband are currently stranded in Thailand due to escalating tensions in West Asia following the Iran–Israel conflict.

Sharing a heartfelt note on social media, Meera thanked well-wishers who reached out to check on her safety. “It honestly means so much to us,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for the concern and support.

Trip Disrupted by Regional Tensions

The couple had travelled to Thailand after attending her best friend’s wedding. It marked their first international trip of 2026 and their first visit to the country. Meera described the holiday as “such a wonderful time.”

However, as they prepared to return, rising tensions in West Asia disrupted travel plans, leaving them uncertain about their journey back home.

While some friends and followers suggested returning to India, Meera made it clear that her heart remains in the Gulf nation she now calls home.

“We Can’t Wait to Return to the UAE”

Meera expressed a deep emotional connection to the United Arab Emirates, where she has lived for over 11 years. Her husband, Sreeju, has been residing there for nearly a year and a half.

“Honestly, we can’t wait to return to the UAE. That kind of feeling only comes when a place truly feels like home,” she shared.

She further added that they are taking the situation “one day at a time” and trying to make wherever they are feel like home until they can safely return.

Concluding her message, she expressed gratitude toward the country and its leadership, thanking the people of the UAE for giving her a sense of belonging and security.

Meera Nandan’s Career Journey

Meera made her acting debut in 2008 with Mulla, starring alongside Dileep. Over the years, she has appeared in more than 30 films and was last seen in the 2023 movie Ennalum Ente Aliya.

In recent years, she has built a strong presence in the UAE as a popular radio jockey, further strengthening her ties to the region.

As geopolitical uncertainties continue to affect travel across parts of West Asia, Meera’s message reflects both concern and gratitude — highlighting the emotional bonds people form with places they call home.
