In a series of posts on social media, Chhillar expressed support for students while urging authorities to continue strengthening the examination system through meaningful reforms.

‘I Have Written It Twice’

Recalling her own journey before entering the entertainment industry, Chhillar said she had to appear for the medical entrance examination twice in the same admission cycle after the examination was affected by a paper leak.

She wrote that asking students to simply “write it again” overlooks the years of preparation, sacrifice and emotional investment that competitive examinations demand.

According to Chhillar, such examinations represent much more than a test—they embody the aspirations of students and the hopes of their families.

‘Education Is the Greatest Equaliser’

In her statement, Chhillar emphasized the transformative role of education in creating opportunities.

She reflected on meeting students from different backgrounds who devote years to preparing for medical entrance examinations, often supported by families making significant financial sacrifices.

The actor said those experiences have strengthened her belief that education remains one of the most powerful paths to social mobility and personal growth.

Calls for Reform Through Dialogue

While advocating improvements to the examination system, Chhillar stressed that demanding reforms should not be interpreted as criticism of the country or its institutions.

Instead, she described reform as an effort to strengthen public systems and ensure future students experience a more transparent and equitable process.

She expressed confidence that lasting solutions can emerge through democratic dialogue, constitutional processes and mutual respect.

‘An Extremely Traumatic Experience’

In an earlier post, Chhillar described having to take the examination twice because of a paper leak as “extremely traumatic.”

She said she hopes future reforms will help students pursue opportunities without facing unnecessary uncertainty caused by procedural failures.

According to the actor, fairness in examinations is essential for maintaining students’ trust in the education system.

From Medical Student to Actor

Before beginning her career in films, Chhillar qualified for medical studies and secured admission to Bhagat Phool Singh Medical College in Sonipat.

She later represented India internationally after winning the Miss World title before transitioning into acting.

Her educational background has frequently informed her public comments on issues affecting students and academic institutions.

Wider Public Discussion

Chhillar’s statement comes amid continuing public discussion surrounding examination reforms and student welfare.

Several personalities from the entertainment industry have recently shared messages expressing support for students and encouraging constructive dialogue on education-related issues.

Her remarks add a personal perspective to the broader conversation, drawing from her own experience as a former medical aspirant who navigated the challenges of a disrupted examination cycle.

By sharing her story, Manushi Chhillar has highlighted the lasting emotional impact examination irregularities can have on students while calling for continued efforts to strengthen fairness, transparency and confidence in India’s competitive examination system.
