Malti Chahar, the latest contestant evicted from Bigg Boss 19, has finally addressed lingering rumours about her relationship with singer Amaal Mallik. The sudden mid-week exit left viewers surprised, and curiosity around her personal life escalated, especially regarding her alleged romantic involvement with Amaal before joining the reality show.
In an exclusive interview, Malti, sister of cricketer Deepak Chahar, set the record straight. “I met Amaal only three months before the show started. So how could I have been his girlfriend? We barely had time to get to know each other,” she explained. She added that both were traveling frequently during that period, making a romantic relationship impossible.
Malti also revealed how fellow contestant Shehbaz helped her understand Amaal’s actions inside the house, which initially made them seem like strangers. “My statement on the show wasn’t meant to hint at anything. I didn’t even know he was behaving that way until Shehbaz pointed it out. Observing his body language, I realised he was trying to act like we didn’t know each other. Naturally, I got upset,” she said.
Taking a firm stance, Malti urged Amaal Mallik to speak openly about the past. “If you know me, just say it. There’s nothing to hide. He was afraid, but I wasn’t. So asking me these questions is wrong; he knows why he hesitated. You should ask him directly,” she said, making it clear she was confident and unafraid of facing the rumours head-on.
