Mallika Sherawat Says Ego and Misunderstandings Led to Rift With Emraan Hashmi

Bollywood actor Mallika Sherawat has spoken candidly about her long-discussed disagreement with Emraan Hashmi, saying the fallout that followed the success of Murder was largely the result of youthful decisions, misunderstandings and outside influence.

In a recent interview, Mallika looked back at that period of her career with honesty, saying time has helped both actors move forward.

She said many comments amounted to slut-shaming, but maintained that she never regretted portraying a confident and unconventional female character.
