The mother of Bollywood personality Malaika Arora, Joyce Arora, is currently stranded in Dubai after flight services were temporarily suspended amid escalating tensions linked to the US–Iran conflict.
Joyce Arora had travelled to the city to attend a family birthday celebration but ended up witnessing tense moments in the skies during the ongoing situation.
‘Saw Missiles Being Intercepted’
Speaking about her experience, Joyce said she could see missiles being intercepted while staying in Dubai. Despite the frightening sight, she expressed confidence in the local authorities.
She said she feels safe in the city and praised the response of the Dubai authorities and military. Joyce also mentioned that her daughters, including Malaika Arora, remain in constant contact with her from Mumbai, calling several times a day to check on her well-being.

Birthday Trip Turns Unexpected
Joyce Arora explained that she initially travelled to Dubai to celebrate her elder sister’s birthday. During the visit, the family also celebrated Joyce’s birthday.
However, her travel plans were disrupted when she was informed that her return flight scheduled for March 3 had been cancelled due to the conflict and resulting flight suspensions.
Other Celebrities Also Affected
Joyce Arora was not the only Indian traveller impacted by the disruptions.
Actors Sonal Chauhan and Esha Gupta were also reportedly stranded in the region, with Chauhan in Dubai and Gupta in Abu Dhabi, after flight services were halted during the escalating tensions.
