OnlyFans creator Lily Phillips has opened up about her decision to be baptized again at the age of 24, saying the ceremony was part of her effort to reconnect with her Christian faith. Phillips said she had been baptized as a baby but felt the need to return to religion after spending years away from regular religious practice.

In an interview with Us Weekly, Phillips explained that a significant development in her personal life prompted her to start thinking about religion again.

“Quite a big thing happened more in my personal life, where I kind of felt the need to start speaking to God again,” she said.

Phillips added that she had not practised her faith for a while and wanted the second baptism to symbolise a renewed commitment.

“I hadn’t really practiced faith for a while. I just wanted to get rebaptized to kind of reinstate my relationship with God,” she said.

The ceremony reportedly took place on Sunday, December 28. Phillips said her family and friends supported her decision and noted that religion had always been part of her family background.

Lily Phillips Says Her Faith Is Personal

Phillips also addressed questions about whether her career and her religious beliefs can coexist.

Speaking to Newsweek, she said her decision to explore Christianity was about developing her own relationship with God rather than conforming to expectations about what a Christian should look like.

“I’m really looking forward to strengthening and growing my relationship with God,” she said.

Phillips also said she wanted to challenge assumptions that people working in the adult-content industry can only be viewed through one dimension.

“I hate that we are pigeonholed as 2D sex dolls, it can be really dehumanizing,” she said.

She acknowledged that some Christians may disagree with aspects of her lifestyle but said she believes people should be able to explore their faith in a way that is meaningful to them.

Lily Phillips Says She Is Not a “Traditional Christian”

Phillips was also candid about her personal beliefs, saying she does not consider herself a traditional Christian.

“I’m definitely not claiming to be a traditional Christian at all,” she said.

She explained that some of her views do not align with traditional conservative Christian positions. Phillips specifically mentioned that she supports same-sex marriage and is pro-choice.

At the same time, she argued that holding those views does not prevent her from identifying with Christianity.

“But that doesn’t mean to say that I can’t be Christian,” she said.

Her comments have opened up a wider conversation online about faith, personal identity and whether religious belief necessarily has to fit within a single set of social or cultural expectations.

Phillips has not confirmed that she is leaving her adult-content career following her renewed interest in Christianity.

Instead, she has indicated that she would like to expand the range of work she does in the future.

Speaking about her professional plans, Phillips said she would be interested in exploring television and presenting opportunities. She also expressed an interest in creating more YouTube content that would allow audiences to see more of her personality.

“I’d love to do some more TV work,” she said. “I’d love to do some presenting… I would love to do more YouTube, maybe, show some more of my personality.”
