Speaking with Kareena Kapoor Khan on What Women Want, the actor discussed her enthusiasm for changing hairstyles—and why a spontaneous haircut once surprised a director.
Kriti Sanon enjoys changing her hairstyle, but when asked to choose a favourite texture, her answer was clear: waves.
During her appearance on Kareena Kapoor Khan’s What Women Want, the actor spoke about getting restless with the same look and being tempted to try something different. NDTV reported the conversation on October 24.
Wavy hair wins, but the length keeps changing
“I prefer wavy hair,” Kriti said during the exchange.
According to the supplied interview account, she explained that although she likes long hair, she rarely lets it reach that length before wanting another change.
Kareena observed that she usually associates Kriti with shoulder-length or medium-length styles. Kriti, in turn, recalled the shorter hairstyle she wore in Crew, the film in which the two actors worked together.
The conversation revealed a familiar styling dilemma: enjoying the freshness of a shorter cut while also wanting the variety that longer hair can offer.
The bangs that did not grow out on schedule
Kriti also recalled making an impulsive decision during a gap between film commitments.
With about two months remaining before her next project began, she cut her hair into bangs. When the director expressed surprise, she reassured him that they would grow out before filming.
They did not grow back as quickly as she had expected.
The anecdote added a practical complication to her enthusiasm for experimenting: a haircut chosen during a break can still affect the look planned for a character.
A separate conversation about confidence in Cocktail 2
Kriti also discussed personal style and confidence during The Making of a Modern Star, a session at the NDTV World Summit 2026 on October 23.
Speaking about a bikini scene in Cocktail 2, she said her willingness to perform it reflected how her comfort with her body had developed over time. She explained that she would not have made the same choice several years earlier.
The actor described herself as highly self-critical and said feeling comfortable mattered more than fitness alone when approaching the sequence.
Her remarks framed the decision as personal to that stage of her life and career. While the hairstyle conversation focused on spontaneous changes, the summit discussion concerned a choice she felt ready to make after years of growing confidence.
