Actors Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat, who tied the knot on March 16, 2024, believe that living together before marriage played a crucial role in strengthening their relationship. The couple, who had a private yet elegant wedding ceremony, recently opened up about their journey during a conversation with Karan Johar on the Manyavar Shaadi show.
“Best Friends and Best Roommates”
Reflecting on married life, Pulkit Samrat shared that companionship has been the foundation of their relationship.
“It’s beautiful. More than married life, I think we are best friends and best roommates. That’s what keeps the relationship alive,” he said.
Kriti echoed the sentiment while also expressing her belief in commitment.
“I fully recommend marriage, one hundred per cent. When you find love, you must do everything to protect and nurture it,” she added.
Why They Advocate Living Together Before Marriage
The discussion turned to personal space and compatibility when Karan Johar shared an anecdote about how challenging it can be to share space, even with close friends. Building on that thought, Pulkit explained why he and Kriti strongly support live-in relationships before marriage.
“That’s why we both advocate living together before deciding to get married. It’s the best thing to do. We lived together for two years,” he revealed.

“During Covid, we were together but not in the same apartment. After Covid, we moved in properly. We chose a house that wasn’t his or mine, but ours, and then built that home together,” she said.
Their Love Story
Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat first met on the sets of the 2019 film Pagalpanti. Their friendship soon turned into a relationship, and they went on to collaborate in films like Veerey Ki Wedding and Taish. After dating for several years, the couple got married in March 2024.
Work Front
Kriti was last seen in the Netflix series Rana Naidu, which received a positive response. She is currently working on Abir Sengupta’s upcoming film Risky Romeo, which is in post-production.
Pulkit Samrat will next appear in Vipul Vig’s Rahu Ketu, alongside Varun Sharma and Shalini Pandey. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 16, 2026.
