Rumours recently circulated online suggesting that Kiara Advani would portray legendary actress Madhubala in a biographical film reportedly backed by filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

However, industry sources have now dismissed these claims, stating that the reports are inaccurate.

According to a source familiar with the matter, there is no truth to the speculation about Kiara Advani being cast in a Madhubala biopic produced by Bhansali.

“The claims currently circulating about Kiara Advani starring in a Madhubala biopic backed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali are completely baseless,” the source said.

Rumours Sparked Interest Among Fans

The speculation had generated significant curiosity among fans, given Madhubala’s enduring legacy as one of the most iconic stars in Indian cinema.

However, the insider clarified that no such project involving Kiara Advani is currently underway, and the reports appear to be purely speculative.

Meanwhile, Kiara Advani has been on a brief break from film work after welcoming her first child, a daughter, with actor Sidharth Malhotra.

However, the release has been postponed following recommendations from distributor Phars Films, as producers continue to monitor changing regional developments.

The announcement came while the team was preparing for a major trailer launch event in Bengaluru on March 8.
