Popular television actress Jaswir Kaur, widely known for her roles in several Hindi TV dramas, recently opened up about a painful chapter from her career. The actress revealed that she was asked to leave the long-running crime show CID, where she portrayed Inspector Kajal for nearly two years.
Speaking in a podcast with Subhojit Ghosh, the Anupamaa actress shared how the sudden decision deeply affected both her personal life and professional journey.

Recalling the moment things changed, Jaswir said the situation unfolded shortly after the team filmed a black-magic themed episode of the procedural drama. She was reportedly called into the production office and informed that she would no longer continue with the show.
According to the actress, the makers claimed she had the wrong attitude. She was also told that she would sometimes take the script even when she did not have dialogue and was accused of using inappropriate language.

‘I Cried for 45 Days,’ Says the Actress
The actress tried to convince the makers to reconsider their decision. However, the discussion reportedly stretched on for 45 days without any resolution.
“I cried for 45 days. I couldn’t understand what went wrong. I had worked on the show for 22 months, and suddenly I was told to leave,” she recalled during the conversation.
The emotional stress of the situation eventually took a serious toll on her mental health.
Struggle With Depression and Financial Pressure
Jaswir shared that the incident pushed her into a period of depression that lasted several months.

The unexpected exit also created financial uncertainty. The actress revealed that for nearly seven years she had to rely mainly on cameo appearances and small roles to keep herself financially stable.
At one point, she recalled having only ₹100 in hand while most of her earnings were spent on taxes and living expenses.

While looking back at the experience, Jaswir said she felt disappointed that none of her co-actors reached out to support her during that difficult time.
Although the phase was emotionally draining, the actress says she eventually rebuilt her career and moved forward.
