The tragic death of Punjabi-origin YouTuber Nancy Grewal has shocked online communities across India and Canada. The 45-year-old content creator was reportedly stabbed to death in Windsor, Ontario, prompting a homicide investigation by local authorities.
Police confirmed that the incident took place in the Windsor–LaSalle region and that the investigation is ongoing.

According to the LaSalle Police Service, officers and paramedics responded to reports of a stabbing shortly before 9:30 pm on March 3.
When emergency personnel arrived at the residence, Grewal was found critically injured inside the home. She was immediately transported to hospital by Essex‑Windsor Emergency Medical Services.

In an official statement, police extended condolences to the victim’s family and friends.
Authorities also said the incident appears to be isolated and reassured residents that there is currently no immediate threat to public safety in the area.

Nancy Grewal, whose real name was Anita Agnihotri, originally belonged to Ludhiana in the Indian state of Punjab.
Based on details she had shared on her social media profiles, she studied in Sirsa during her early years and later attended Satluj Public School before pursuing higher education at a national college.

Police Investigation Continues
Authorities have formally classified the case as a homicide. However, investigators have not yet announced whether any suspect has been identified or taken into custody.
Police are urging residents to assist with the investigation. Individuals who may have surveillance footage — including dashcam or doorbell camera recordings — from the surrounding area have been asked to share it with investigators.
Officials said anyone with relevant information can contact Detective Sergeant Jamie Nestor or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
The investigation remains active as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding Grewal’s death.
