The glamour of the Cannes Film Festival may dominate social media every year, but influencer Tarini Peshawaria has now revealed a different side of the global event.
As celebrity photos and red carpet videos continue flooding Instagram and X during Cannes 2026, the beauty and wellness influencer shared a candid account of her own experience attending the festival several years ago — including the hidden costs behind those glamorous moments.
‘Not Every Photographer Is There for You’
In a viral Instagram video, Tarini Peshawaria explained that the Cannes red carpet experience is far different from what many people imagine online.
“I went to Cannes four years ago, and here is everything no one tells you about the film festival,” she said in the clip.

She claimed that global stars often receive exclusive treatment while lesser-known attendees have limited time on the carpet.
Tarini also addressed one of the biggest misconceptions about Cannes photography.
“Not every photographer is there to click you. They don’t even know you. You actually have to pay a photographer.”
She revealed that she spent 400 Euros — approximately ₹44,500 — for seven videos and seven professionally clicked photographs.
Cannes Luxury Comes With a Price
The influencer also spoke about staying at Hotel Martinez, one of the most famous luxury hotels associated with the Cannes Film Festival.

However, Tarini clarified that her trip was sponsored by L’Oréal Paris, allowing her to stay at the high-profile property during the event.
Behind-the-Scenes Glamour
Sharing more details from the trip, Tarini revealed that designer Manish Malhotra’s team personally assisted her in draping her saree before the event.

One of the most memorable experiences for her, she said, was meeting Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan.
“They were the nicest, warmest people I met during the entire trip,” she shared.
Social Media Praises Her Honesty
The video quickly gained attention online, with several celebrities and followers appreciating her transparency.
Actor Sameera Reddy commented that the post felt “real and raw,” while many users praised Tarini for discussing the realities behind influencer culture and red carpet appearances.
Actor Amala Paul also reacted positively to the video.
Many viewers noted that social media often only showcases the glamorous side of international events, while rarely discussing the financial and professional arrangements involved behind the scenes.
