IndiGo Flight Crisis: Lauren Gottlieb, Jay Bhanushali, Rahul Vaidya Among Celebrities Hit by Massive Delays

Mumbai: Air travel across India plunged into chaos after IndiGo cancelled and delayed several flights, leaving thousands of passengers stranded at major airports. Among those affected were multiple celebrities, who took to social media to express their frustration over the prolonged disruption.

Actor-choreographer Lauren Gottlieb, spotted outside an airport, described the situation inside as overwhelming.
She said, “Everything you’ve seen online is accurate. It looked like an apocalypse. All flights to Dubai were cancelled. There were hundreds of people stuck inside—it felt like a disaster scene.” She also advised travellers to avoid IndiGo flights until the situation stabilises.

Actor Jay Bhanushali too faced long delays. Sharing his experience on Instagram, he wrote, “After so many hours of travel, I deserve to be welcomed with the song ‘Desh Mere’. Thank you IndiGo for the unplanned extended trip.”

Singer Rahul Vaidya, who had a performance scheduled in Kolkata, detailed his struggle through multiple posts.
Calling it “one of the worst days to fly”, he revealed he had already spent ₹4.20 lakh on domestic boarding passes alone.
“These boarding cards cost ₹4.20 lakh just till Mumbai. Mumbai to Kolkata will be separate. This is the most expensive domestic travel I’ve done,” he said.

Actor Aly Goni also reacted, pointing out that other airline prices surged following IndiGo cancellations.
He posted, “It’s high time India gets another domestic airline. IndiGo has created chaos across the country. On top of that, other airlines have tripled their fares. Unreal situation in aviation.”

With widespread anger building, the Ministry of Civil Aviation instructed IndiGo and other carriers to take immediate corrective measures to stabilise flight schedules and restore normal operations at the earliest.
