Hoppers Box Office Collection Day 3

The Hollywood animated sci-fi film Hoppers recorded a modest but steady opening weekend at the Indian box office.

Directed by Daniel Chong, the film collected ₹1.10 crore on Day 3 (Sunday), taking its opening weekend total to ₹2.75 crore gross in India.

Opening Weekend Performance

The film began its theatrical run with ₹45 lakh on its opening day. Collections improved significantly on the second day as the movie earned ₹1.20 crore, marking its biggest single-day collection so far.

However, Sunday witnessed a slight dip, largely due to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final between India national cricket team and New Zealand national cricket team, which affected cinema footfall across the country.

Despite this, the film managed to close its first weekend with ₹2.75 crore gross.

Week One Outlook

Produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures, Hoppers is expected to finish its opening week between ₹3.50 crore and ₹4 crore gross in India.

Although the opening numbers are relatively small, they are considered reasonable for a non-franchise animated film without an established intellectual property.

Trade analysts believe the movie could still target around ₹10 crore gross in India by the end of its theatrical run if weekday collections remain stable.

Voice Cast and Story

The film features an impressive voice cast including Dave Franco, Meryl Streep, Jon Hamm, Bobby Moynihan, Vanessa Bayer, Kathy Najimy, Sam Richardson, and Aparna Nancherla.

The story revolves around Mabel Tanaka, an animal lover who discovers that scientists have developed technology capable of transferring human consciousness into robotic animals. Curious about the possibilities, she uses the technology to explore the animal world but soon realizes the consequences of her actions.
