Himanshi Khurana Gets Alleged Rs 10 Crore Extortion Threat

Actor and former Bigg Boss contestant Himanshi Khurana has approached the police after allegedly receiving an extortion threat demanding Rs 10 crore.

According to officials, Khurana filed a complaint with the Mohali police stating that she received a threatening email from an individual claiming to be a foreign-based gangster.

FIR Registered Under BNS Sections

Acting on the complaint, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at Sohana police station.

The case has been filed under Sections 308(4) (extortion) and 351(3) (criminal intimidation) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Saurav Jindal stated that the email allegedly included a voice note demanding Rs 10 crore as extortion money. Authorities have initiated a detailed probe to trace the origin of the email and the attached voice message.

Police officials confirmed that further action will follow as per legal procedures.

Investigation Underway

The investigation currently focuses on identifying the sender and verifying the authenticity of the voice note. Cybercrime units are expected to assist in tracing digital footprints linked to the communication.

Officials have not disclosed additional details at this stage, citing the ongoing inquiry.

Himanshi Khurana’s Career

Himanshi Khurana is a well-known name in the Punjabi entertainment industry. She gained recognition for her role in the 2013 Punjabi film Sadda Haq and has featured in multiple music videos.

She also participated in Season 13 of Bigg Boss, which significantly expanded her national visibility.

Similar Complaint Last Month

This development comes weeks after Punjabi singer Dilnoor reportedly filed a complaint with Mohali police alleging that he received a threatening call demanding Rs 10 crore in the name of singer B Praak.

Authorities are examining whether there is any connection between the cases.
