Bigg Boss 13 Fame Himanshi Khurana Receives Rs 10 Crore Extortion Threat, Police File FIR

Bigg Boss 13 fame Himanshi Khurana has approached the Mohali Police after allegedly receiving an extortion threat demanding Rs 10 crore, officials said.

According to a PTI report, the actress, who continues to work in Punjabi entertainment, received an extortion email containing an alleged voice message from a foreign-based gangster. Following her complaint, police registered an FIR and began investigating the source of the communication.

Himanshi Khurana Files Complaint With Mohali Police

According to officials, Himanshi submitted a complaint regarding an email received on her email account.

The complaint reportedly included a voice note in which an individual allegedly demanded Rs 10 crore as extortion money.

Superintendent of Police (Investigation) Saurav Jindal said:

“As per the complaint, the email contained a voice note allegedly sent by a foreign-based gangster demanding Rs 10 crore as extortion money.”

Police subsequently registered a case at the Sohana police station.

FIR Registered Under BNS Sections

Officials said the FIR was registered under Sections 308(4) and 351(3) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), relating to extortion and criminal intimidation.

Investigators are now attempting to establish the origin of the email and the accompanying voice message.

Police are also working to trace the person or network allegedly behind the threat. Further action will be taken according to the findings of the investigation, officials said.

At this stage, the identity of the person responsible for the alleged threat has not been established publicly.

Police Investigate the Alleged Threat

The case remains under investigation, and authorities are examining the electronic communication submitted as part of Himanshi’s complaint.

The alleged foreign connection mentioned by police does not by itself establish the identity or location of the person responsible. Investigators will need to verify the source of the email and voice recording as the probe progresses.

Himanshi Khurana’s Career

Himanshi began her career as a model before entering Punjabi cinema.

She made her film debut with the 2013 Punjabi movie Sadda Haq and subsequently appeared in several Punjabi music videos.

Her popularity grew significantly after her participation in Bigg Boss 13, where she became one of the season’s prominent contestants.

Similar Extortion Complaint Involving Punjabi Singer

The development comes shortly after another extortion complaint was reportedly filed with Mohali Police.

According to the supplied report, Punjabi singer Dilnoor approached the police after allegedly receiving a threatening call concerning singer B Praak.

The caller allegedly demanded Rs 10 crore in extortion.

The two cases have been reported separately, and any connection between them would need to be established by investigators.

For now, Himanshi Khurana’s complaint has resulted in an FIR and an ongoing police investigation.
