Govinda Rushed to Mumbai Hospital After Losing Consciousness, a Day After Visiting Dharmendra
Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday after reportedly losing consciousness, sources confirmed.
According to news agency PTI, the 60-year-old actor was taken to the hospital after he complained of discomfort and disorientation. His lawyer, Lalit Bindal, told India Today that Govinda is currently stable.
“He was feeling disoriented. All tests are done, and we are now awaiting the reports and opinion of the neuro consultation. He is stable now,” Bindal said.
The incident occurred just a day after Govinda visited veteran actor Dharmendra, who is recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. In a video shared online, Govinda was seen leaving the hospital with a visibly concerned expression.
Past Health Scare
This marks the second hospitalisation for Govinda within a year. In October 2024, the actor suffered a bullet injury after his licensed revolver accidentally discharged while he was preparing to leave for a show in Kolkata.

“I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning. The gun fell and went off. I was shocked to see blood gushing out.”
The actor, who is associated with the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, was accompanied then by his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja.
Govinda’s Film Career
Govinda rose to stardom in the late 1980s and 1990s with blockbuster films such as Ilzaam (1986), Love 86 (1986), and Ishq Mein Jeena Ishq Mein Marna (1994). His collaborations with David Dhawan resulted in several hit comedies including Coolie No. 1, Hero No. 1, Raja Babu, and Partner.
Known for his impeccable comic timing and effortless dance moves, Govinda has also delivered acclaimed performances in more serious roles throughout his three-decade-long career. His last film, Rangeela Raja, released in 2019.
