Genelia D’Souza Reacts to Vijay’s Massive Tamil Nadu Poll Victory: “A Win for the People”

Actor Genelia D’Souza has congratulated Vijay after the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) chief secured a landmark victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

Vijay’s party emerged as the single-largest force in the state, reshaping Tamil Nadu’s political landscape and ending decades of dominance by the traditional Dravidian parties.

Reacting to the political development, Genelia praised Vijay’s dedication and said the victory belonged to the people of Tamil Nadu.

Speaking about TVK’s electoral success, Genelia said Vijay’s victory reflects the trust people have placed in him and the expectations attached to his leadership.

“I think it’s amazing. His victory is a win for the people of Tamil Nadu, and I’m sure he will live up to the expectations people have from him,” she said.

The actor also spoke warmly about her long-standing friendship with Vijay, with whom she has worked in films like Sachein and Velayudham.

“I’ve always shared a very good relationship with him, and I know how dedicated he is to whatever he chooses to do,” she added.

Vijay’s TVK Creates Political History

Founded just two years ago, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has delivered one of the biggest political upsets in recent Tamil Nadu history.

Led by actor-turned-politician C Joseph Vijay, the party won 108 seats and emerged as the single-largest party in the Assembly.

The result significantly weakened the long-standing dominance of the DMK and AIADMK in the state.

Political analysts have described TVK’s rise as one of the fastest political breakthroughs by a regional party in recent years.

Genelia D’Souza is among several film personalities who have congratulated Vijay after the election results.
