Fact Check: Viral Claim About Trisha Krishnan’s ‘Big Announcement’ with Vijay Is Fake

Actor Trisha Krishnan has recently been in the spotlight due to speculation surrounding her alleged relationship with Tamil star Vijay, popularly known as Thalapathy Vijay.

Amid the ongoing rumours, a screenshot claiming that Trisha hinted at a “big announcement” with Vijay began circulating widely on social media platforms. However, the claim has turned out to be false.

Viral Screenshot on Social Media

The viral screenshot, shared by a user on Reddit, appeared to show an Instagram story allegedly posted by Trisha.

The text in the image read:
“Let the election finish first. The next big announcement will be made with everyone’s blessings.”

The user claimed that the actress had later deleted the story and asked other users whether the screenshot was genuine.

However, there is no evidence that Trisha Krishnan ever posted such a message on her official Instagram account. The circulating screenshot is therefore fake and misleading.

Rumours Around Trisha and Vijay

Speculation around Trisha and Vijay intensified recently after the two actors were seen attending a wedding reception together in Chennai.

Their public appearance came at a time when reports about Vijay’s alleged separation from his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam were also circulating online, which further fueled rumours about the actors.

However, neither Trisha nor Vijay has publicly confirmed any relationship.

Trisha on Reuniting with Vijay in Leo

Earlier, during a promotional event for the film Leo (2023), Trisha spoke warmly about working again with Vijay in the Lokesh Kanagaraj directorial.

She described the reunion as similar to meeting an old school friend after a long time, adding that the comfort and friendship between them remained unchanged.

Trisha also mentioned that in her two-decade-long career, Vijay is the co-star with whom she has had the longest professional association.

Upcoming Projects

On the work front, Trisha was last seen in Thug Life, a gangster drama directed by Mani Ratnam and starring Kamal Haasan.

She will next appear in the film Karuppu alongside Suriya. Directed by R Balaji, the project is expected to release later this year.

Trisha also has several upcoming films including Vishwambhara, where she will share screen space with Chiranjeevi, Kunal Kapoor and Ashika Ranganath.

Additionally, she will appear in the Malayalam film Ram directed by Jeethu Joseph, which features Mohanlal and Adil Hussain in key roles.

Meanwhile, Vijay is awaiting the release of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan.
