Emily in Paris Season 5 Review: Stylish but Sweetly Simplistic

Season 5 of Emily in Paris continues to do what the show does best: deliver a lavish visual postcard of Europe stitched together with couture, romance and career chaos. As Emily Cooper (Lily Collins) travels between Paris, Rome, Solitano and Venice, with whispers of Greece floating in the finale, the series becomes a glossy celebration of La Dolce Vita.

Emily initially relocates to Rome to run the new Agence Grateau office alongside her new love interest, Marcello Muratori (Eugenio Franceschini). Marcello, the heir to a luxury Pashmina company based in the idyllic village of Solitano, tasks Emily with modernising the family business and convincing his formidable mother Antonia (Anna Galiena) that social media matters.
