Eisha Singh: “To Get Something, You Have To Lose Something”

Currently seen in the supernatural world of Naagin 7, Eisha Singh is stepping into uncharted territory with her character Ananta—a role she says is unlike anything she has portrayed before.

“I think it’s very different from all the characters I’ve played,” Eisha shares. “It’s fun to play her. She’s a diva in her own way. She knows she has a certain attitude, she knows she looks good, and there’s a charm about her that men love. She throws it around like confetti.”

But Ananta isn’t just about glamour and confidence. Eisha is quick to point out her emotional core. “At the same time, she loves her sister to death. She truly, deeply loves her,” she says, adding depth to the character beyond appearances.

With viewers speculating about whether Ananta is the mysterious Naagin, Eisha keeps her cards close. “To know who Ananta really is, you’ll have to watch the show,” she smiles. “There are so many layers. Who is the real Ananta? Am I a Naagin or am I not? That’s something I can’t reveal—but you will find out.”

Reflecting on her journey, Eisha speaks honestly about starting her career at a young age and missing out on a conventional college life. “I always wanted to be an actor. I got the right opportunity at the right time and I grabbed it. To get something, you have to lose something—and that’s okay,” she says, without regret.

Looking ahead, Eisha is clear about her priorities. “No matter the medium, I want to do work that excites me and challenges me,” she shares, hinting at a dream project in the pipeline that she isn’t ready to talk about just yet.

Off camera, the actor enjoys the quieter moments—spending time with family and pets, shopping, and even cooking after long night shifts. Having moved to Mumbai as a teenager and built a career spanning nearly a decade, she reflects with gratitude. “It was insane at first, but destiny had other plans. Now, I love this city. I love every bit of my life.”
