Cody Simpson Reflects On Past Relationships, Calls Gigi Hadid His ‘First Love’

Australian singer and swimmer Cody Simpson recently opened up about some of his most talked-about relationships from the past.

During an appearance on the We Need To Talk with Paul C Brunson, Simpson spoke candidly about his experiences with several well-known figures, including Kylie Jenner, Gigi Hadid, and Miley Cyrus.

The singer reflected on how each relationship played an important role during different phases of his life.

Cody Simpson Says Kylie Jenner Was His First Real Girlfriend

Simpson recalled meeting Kylie Jenner during the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse premiere in Los Angeles in 2010.

At the time, Jenner and her sister Kendall Jenner were attending the event when Simpson arrived on the red carpet. The two eventually exchanged numbers and started dating shortly after.

Speaking about the relationship, Simpson shared that they bonded over their shared experiences growing up in the public eye. Their relationship lasted for roughly a year and was one of his earliest experiences with dating.

Gigi Hadid Was His ‘First Love’

Simpson also spoke warmly about his relationship with Gigi Hadid, describing it as his “first love.”

The singer revealed that the pair first connected after he tried to reach out to the model while working on a music video concept. Eventually, the two started spending time together and quickly grew close.

He remembered picking Hadid up for one of their early dates shortly after getting his first car, even though he wasn’t legally allowed to drive alone yet.

Simpson shared that their relationship lasted about two years, on and off, and that Hadid even joined him on tour during that time. Despite eventually parting ways, he still looks back on that period with affection.

Reflecting On His Romance With Miley Cyrus

Another relationship Simpson discussed was his romance with Miley Cyrus. The pair dated for around ten months and were often seen together during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Simpson explained that their bond grew from a shared understanding of teenage pop stardom. However, the relationship eventually ended when both realised they were heading in different directions.

He noted that the split was mutual, as he was considering a move back to Australia while Cyrus was focusing on launching a new music project.

Looking Back With Gratitude

Now reportedly dating influencer Adelia Clark, Simpson said he feels grateful for all his past relationships.

According to the singer, each experience helped shape his personal journey and contributed to his growth both as an artist and as an individual.
