According to trade projections, the international business is expected to grow further in the coming weeks, pushing the worldwide total close to Rs 300 crore very soon.

Wankhede believes that with sustained momentum, strong word of mouth, and limited competition ahead, Border 2 is unlikely to close below Rs 600 crore globally, a figure that would place it among the biggest Indian films of all time.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted that Border 2’s opening itself has already secured its position at the top of the 2026 box-office charts.

From a numbers perspective, the film’s first four days outperformed recent blockbusters such as Chhaava and Dhurandhar, making it the strongest opening not only of the year so far but also among recent big-ticket releases.

According to Adarsh, the emotional legacy of the Border franchise plays a crucial role in this success. The association of Sunny Deol and J.P. Dutta continues to strike a powerful chord with audiences, reinforcing the film’s patriotic appeal.
