K-pop superstar Jisoo, a member of the globally popular group BLACKPINK, has hinted at the possibility of working in Bollywood, sparking excitement among fans in India.

During a promotional appearance for her upcoming Boyfriend on Demand alongside co-star Seo In‑guk, the singer-actor spoke about her interest in exploring opportunities in Hindi cinema.

Jisoo Says She Would Love to Work in Bollywood

When asked whether they would consider starring in a Bollywood film centred on an AI-themed romance, Seo In-guk said he would be open to the idea.

Jisoo echoed the sentiment with enthusiasm, jokingly adding that she hopes audiences and filmmakers will keep an eye out for them if such opportunities arise. The light-hearted moment quickly gained attention online, especially among Indian fans eager to see the K-pop star appear on the Bollywood big screen.

Soon after the clip circulated online, fans began discussing possible collaborations for Jisoo in Indian cinema.

Some social media users suggested that she could fit perfectly into visually grand films by directors like Sanjay Leela Bhansali or epic-scale projects from S. S. Rajamouli. Others also mentioned major production houses such as Yash Raj Films and Dharma Productions as potential collaborators.

Jisoo’s Acting Journey So Far

Born on January 3, 1995, Jisoo began gaining recognition as an actor with the Korean drama Snowdrop in 2021. Her performance earned her the Outstanding Korean Actress honour at the Seoul International Drama Awards.

She continued expanding her acting career with the 2025 zombie thriller Newtopia and made her film debut in Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy the same year.

About ‘Boyfriend on Demand’

Jisoo’s latest series Boyfriend on Demand premiered on Netflix on March 6.

In the show, she plays Seo Mi-rae, a webtoon producer who turns to a virtual dating service to navigate modern relationships. Seo In-guk portrays Park Kyeong-nam, her colleague and romantic counterpart, bringing a blend of rivalry, humour, and emotional tension to the story.
