Bride’s Fainting Causes Postponement, Not Cancellation, of Wedding: Families Clarify

Ara: In a fresh development surrounding reports of a wedding allegedly being called off in Bhojpur district, both families have clarified that the ceremony was postponed, not cancelled.

The incident occurred in Bhojpur district near Ara, where the bride reportedly fainted just before the traditional jaimal ceremony.

Families Issue Clarification

Putting an end to speculation, members from both sides confirmed that the marriage will proceed once the bride recovers.

The groom stated that the wedding will take place when she is well enough to return to the stage for the jaimal ritual.

Similarly, the bride’s brother emphasized that neither family has withdrawn from the alliance.

According to him, the tilak ceremony was completed without any issue. However, the bride fainted shortly before the garland exchange, leading to the immediate postponement of the function. He added that both families are in agreement and will soon decide on a new date.

What Happened That Night

The groom shared further details about the sequence of events.

He said that after the bride fainted, she was taken to a room at the resort where the ceremony was scheduled. He personally checked on her condition and found her disoriented at the time.

Family members reportedly waited for nearly two hours, hoping she would recover sufficiently for the ceremony to resume. However, around 3 am, the groom’s side decided to return home.

He reiterated that the marriage will be solemnised once she regains full health.

Wedding to Take Place on Future Date

Despite initial rumours suggesting cancellation, both families have maintained a united stance. They confirmed that the wedding has only been deferred and will be held at a mutually agreed date.

The clarification comes amid widespread social media speculation surrounding the incident.
