Ashley St. Clair Opens Up About Relationship With Elon Musk and Life as a Single Mother

Ashley St. Clair has shared new insights into her past relationship with billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, speaking candidly about motherhood, financial struggles, and ongoing legal disputes involving their son.

The former conservative influencer, who shares a young son named Romulus with the Tesla and SpaceX CEO, discussed her experiences in a series of TikTok videos posted earlier this month. St. Clair also has another child from a previous relationship.

According to St. Clair, she first met Musk while working in conservative media circles and said she became part of what she described as the “Elon orbit” in her early twenties.

She explained that becoming a single mother at a young age changed her outlook on relationships and family life. St. Clair said she had always wanted more children and believed her future options had become limited because she was already raising a child on her own.

During the videos, St. Clair claimed Musk encouraged her to expand her family and often spoke positively about having children.

She said the idea of building a future with someone who wanted more kids felt appealing, especially during financially uncertain times.

“Being a single mom is difficult,” St. Clair said in the video. She added that financial stability plays a major role in decisions surrounding parenthood and family planning.

St. Clair denied claims that she entered the relationship for money or status. She stated that her main priority was ensuring her children would be financially secure in the future.

She also pushed back against online criticism suggesting she pursued fame through the relationship.

Relationship Allegedly Changed After Pregnancy

St. Clair claimed that her relationship with Musk became increasingly complicated after she became pregnant.

According to her, Musk appeared different once the pregnancy progressed, though she also described him as humorous and more relaxed in private settings before tensions grew.

She publicly confirmed in February 2025 that Musk was the father of her child after months of speculation. At the time, she said she had initially kept the matter private to protect her child’s safety and privacy.

In response to public claims made by St. Clair earlier this year, Musk later addressed the situation on X, formerly Twitter.

The billionaire said he was uncertain about the child’s paternity but stated he had already provided millions of dollars in financial support and ongoing yearly payments.

St. Clair later alleged that Musk reduced financial assistance and refused to complete a paternity test, claims that have continued to fuel public discussion online.

Custody Dispute Continues

The situation intensified after Musk reportedly announced plans to seek custody of their son following disagreements related to social media posts involving transgender issues.

St. Clair said she is currently involved in multiple legal proceedings and claimed the public scrutiny surrounding the case has been overwhelming.

She also said she feels unfairly portrayed online and wants to move beyond being publicly identified only through her connection to Musk.

The influencer explained that speaking publicly now is part of an effort to regain control of her own story and focus on her future outside the headlines.
