Meerut: Akash Sansanwal, the boyfriend of social media sensation and ‘Kaccha Badam’ fame Anjali Arora, has been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh Police for allegedly using a fake “Indian Parliament – Ex-MP” sticker on his vehicle. The arrest took place during a routine vehicle checking drive at Partapur Kashi Toll Plaza on the Delhi–Meerut Expressway.
According to police officials, Akash was travelling in a Scorpio SUV bearing a Delhi registration number when officers noticed the suspicious parliamentary sticker. On verification, it was found to be unauthorised and fake, prompting the police to register a case at Partapur police station under multiple sections, including cheating, impersonation, and misuse of official symbols.
Arrest During Toll Plaza Checking
Sources said Akash was stopped near the toll plaza as part of a standard security check. After questioning, he was taken into custody and later shifted to the police station for further interrogation. The vehicle has been seized, and Akash is expected to be produced before the court as legal proceedings continue.
The incident reportedly involved multiple vehicles, and police action was swift to prevent any attempt to flee. Officials are also investigating whether the fake sticker was used to evade tolls, security checks, or gain unlawful privileges.
