Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar and filmmaker-actor Sundar C’s daughter, Anandita Sundar, has addressed ongoing speculation about her weight loss, firmly rejecting rumours that she used Ozempic, Mounjaro, or underwent surgical procedures.
Speaking on the JFW podcast, Anandita responded to widespread social media discussions surrounding her transformation, stating that her journey has been long, gradual, and often misunderstood.
“The hate will never stop,” says Anandita
Anandita shared that online criticism has followed her for years, starting from her teenage days when she was often body-shamed for being overweight. She noted that the nature of public commentary has not changed, even after her transformation.
According to her, the conversation has simply shifted—from criticism about her weight to speculation about how she lost it.

Clarification on Ozempic and surgery rumours
Addressing the speculation directly, Anandita clarified that neither medication such as Ozempic or Mounjaro nor any form of weight-loss surgery contributed to her transformation.
She explained that her fitness journey began around 2018–2019 and has continued steadily over approximately seven years. Much of the visible change, she said, occurred gradually, particularly during the COVID-19 period when she was not frequently seen in public.
This gap in visibility, she added, led many to assume the transformation happened suddenly.
Health motivation behind the transformation
Anandita also revealed that both she and her elder sister Avantika had struggled with weight issues from a young age. Over time, concerns about health prompted them to adopt a more disciplined lifestyle focused on fitness and well-being.
