Triptii Dimri opens up about her love for tennis, Pilates, simple self-care rituals, traditional home remedies and learning to exercise for strength and energy rather than punishment.
From Laila Majnu and Animal to her growing presence in the fashion and beauty space, Triptii Dimri has built a career that continues to expand beyond acting.
The actor has now entered the beauty industry as an investor, co-founder and co-creator of Peep, a coloured contact-lens brand focused on eye beauty and self-expression.
In a recent conversation with HT Lifestyle, Triptii discussed her new venture, approach to fitness, favourite wellness habits, self-care routine, food preferences and the travel destination she keeps returning to.

Triptii said one of the things that attracted her to Peep was its focus on an area of beauty she felt was relatively underexplored.
“I believed that there was a white space in the eye category, and no brand was doing this. The eye is such an expressive part of your face, but when you think about beauty, we usually talk about skin, lips or hair first.”
Rather than simply endorsing the product, she said she was interested in joining the brand as an investor and collaborator and helping develop the category.
For Triptii, coloured contact lenses offer another form of personal expression without requiring a major change to someone’s overall look.
Triptii Dimri Says Tennis Never Feels Like a Workout
When it comes to staying active, Triptii does not appear to follow the kind of rigid fitness routine often associated with celebrity training.
Tennis remains particularly important to her because she played the sport while growing up.

Her approach to exercise has also changed over the years.
Triptii recalled previously believing that being fit meant pushing herself as hard as possible, especially before shoots. Eventually, however, she realised that excessively intense workouts could leave her exhausted before arriving on set.
“Eventually, I realised that I was arriving on set tired, which defeated the purpose. Now I’m much more interested in feeling strong and having energy than exhausting myself.”
‘I’ve Stopped Looking at Exercise as Something I Have to Punish Myself With’
With an unpredictable shooting schedule, Triptii said she tries not to make fitness unnecessarily complicated.

Add Hunterfly on GoogleIf she has an hour available, she will do a more structured workout. On busier days, however, she prefers doing something lighter rather than skipping movement altogether.
“Pilates, some weights, or even just getting my body moving helps.”
She also spoke about changing her relationship with food and exercise.
“I’ve also stopped looking at exercise as something I have to punish myself with because I ate something I liked. I love food, so for me it has always been about finding a balance.”
Her comments reflect a more flexible approach in which exercise is connected to feeling energetic and strong rather than compensating for eating.
Triptii’s Ideal Reset Day Is About Doing Less
For Triptii, a day away from work does not necessarily need to be packed with activities.
Her idea of a reset involves a slow morning, good food, some personal time and no pressure to remain productive.
“I’d probably have tea, eat something I’m craving, take a long shower, do my skincare, and maybe play tennis or do some yoga.”
She has also become more comfortable with simply doing nothing.
“I’m very comfortable doing nothing. I think that’s something I’ve become better at, not feeling guilty if I spend a few hours just reading, watching something or sitting around.”
The Home Remedies Triptii Learned Growing Up
Like many traditional wellness practices passed down through families, Triptii said some of the routines she remembers from childhood involve simple household ingredients.
She mentioned using besan, curd and turmeric as face or body packs and recalled hearing about amla, reetha and shikakai for hair.
“These are small things, but they stay with you.”
Triptii also said she is generally open to trying new wellness trends, although she is less interested in extreme treatments simply because they are fashionable.
“Anything that involves doing something extreme to your face or body just because it’s trending is probably not for me. I’m very much in the less-is-more camp.”
Her comments about these ingredients are personal experiences and traditional practices, rather than evidence that they provide specific medical or cosmetic benefits.
Good Food and Tea Can Instantly Lift Her Mood
Triptii said the things that improve her mood are often quite simple.
“Good food. It really is that simple for me.”
A cup of tea, something she has been craving and some uninterrupted time can make a difference to her day. Tennis is another mood booster for the actor.
“I’m very easily pleased.”
Why Triptii Wants Time Away From Her Phone
As her professional commitments have increased, Triptii said she has learned the importance of having moments when she is not performing or responding to anyone.
“I’ve learnt that I need some time where I’m not performing for anyone, literally or otherwise.”
Even a few minutes away from her phone can help her reset.
She also said she has become more attentive to what her body needs instead of constantly pushing herself.
“Sleep, food, movement and taking a little time for yourself sound very basic, but when work gets hectic, those are the first things you tend to neglect.”
Italy Is Triptii Dimri’s Favourite Travel Escape
When asked about a destination she particularly loves, Triptii named Italy.
The actor said she enjoys the Amalfi Coast, Capri, smaller towns, Italian food and the sea.
“Italy is very special to me. I love the Amalfi Coast, Capri, the little towns, the food, the sea, everything feels very serene there.”
Rather than planning every detail of a trip, she prefers leaving room for spontaneous experiences.
“I like wandering around, finding a little café, sitting somewhere with a coffee and just watching people.”
For Triptii, travel is ultimately about stepping away from a familiar routine and giving herself the opportunity to slow down.
