The actor explained that the episode was built around a specific concept called “Troll Room”, in which both she and the people interviewing her deliberately adopted characters.
According to Akanksha, the purpose was to recreate the kind of comments and language that people often use while trolling celebrities online and demonstrate how those words can sound when they are directed at someone.

Addressing the criticism, Akanksha said the podcast was intentionally different from a conventional celebrity interview.
“Whenever we do a new podcast, we try to explain things very delicately. This was a different concept, which we named Troll Room,” she said.
She explained that both sides of the conversation were performing characters rather than speaking in their usual manner.
“You won’t hear us talking like this, neither he nor I. We were trying to tell people that when you write such things in comments or when you troll someone and use this kind of language or these kinds of words, then how bad does it feel to listen to it. We just recreated that,” she added.
The explanation came after short clips from the podcast circulated online and attracted negative reactions from some viewers.

She Says Viral Clips Missed the Full Context
Akanksha also addressed viewers who formed an opinion after watching shorter excerpts from the conversation.
“If you all got offended, it means our work is going well,” she said, referring to the reaction to the concept.
She suggested that some viewers may not have watched the complete episode before reacting to the clips.

“The same thing has happened: you have cut the 20-25 minute interview into small seconds and people are judging, but you are not trying to understand,” she said.

“I Am Talking Like This Because You Talk Like This”
Akanksha further explained that the unusual manner of speaking in the clips was intentional and represented the trolling comments the podcast was attempting to recreate.
“This is your comments and we are reacting and replying in the same way as you do,” she said.
She added that viewers who found the language offensive could consider why similar language is used in online comments in the first place.
“So if you think this is bad, then try to improve yourself because I don’t talk like this. I am talking like this because you talk like this,” Akanksha said.
Her explanation frames the controversial exchange as a form of commentary on online behaviour rather than a reflection of how she normally communicates.

Akanksha Says Trolling Does Not Affect Her
Towards the end of her response, Akanksha said she does not allow online trolling to affect her.
“As for trollers, it’s their job to keep on trolling. I’m still the same, so it doesn’t matter to me. Bappa is behind me,” she said.
Her response suggests that she intends to continue dealing with social media criticism without allowing it to alter her approach.
The controversy also highlights how short-form clips can sometimes circulate independently of the longer conversations from which they are taken. In this case, Akanksha’s clarification places the viral exchange within the stated “Troll Room” concept and argues that the full episode is necessary to understand the intent behind the performance.
