Trisha Krishnan Faces Online Trolling Amid Thalapathy Vijay and Sangeetha Sornalingam Divorce Speculation

Actress Trisha Krishnan has been facing intense trolling on social media following reports surrounding the alleged divorce of Tamil superstar Vijay and his wife Sangeetha Sornalingam.

Online discussions escalated after reports claimed that Sangeetha had filed for divorce, citing infidelity as one of the grounds in the petition. While the documents reportedly do not mention any specific individual, sections of social media users began speculating about Vijay’s alleged involvement with Trisha. Neither Vijay nor Trisha has publicly commented on the claims.

The rumours have led to a wave of criticism directed at the actress, with several users posting harsh remarks on her social media profiles. Some comments labelled her a “homewrecker,” while others accused her of being responsible for the couple’s reported separation.

However, many users also came to Trisha’s defence, criticising the online attacks and urging people not to blame someone without verified information. Supporters argued that it was unfair to target the actress based purely on speculation circulating online.

According to reports, Sangeetha’s petition reportedly states that despite assurances to end the alleged relationship, the respondent continued the relationship without remorse. The filing reportedly cites adultery and cruelty as grounds for divorce under provisions of the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

Under this law, spouses may seek divorce on several grounds, including adultery and cruelty. The matter is currently reported to be under consideration in a district court.

The controversy has surfaced at a time when Vijay is preparing for the release of his upcoming film Jana Nayagan, which is expected to be one of his final projects before his full-time political entry.

Meanwhile, concerns about online harassment have been raised as the trolling continues. Many observers have pointed out that speculation and unverified claims often lead to unfair targeting of individuals on social media platforms.

As of now, both Vijay and Trisha have maintained silence on the rumours, and no official confirmation has been made regarding the allegations circulating online.
