Nidhi Tiwari Dies by Suicide in Singrauli; Police Examine Social Media Accounts and Last Contact

Social media influencer and content creator Nidhi Tiwari has died by suicide at her home in Singrauli, Madhya Pradesh. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death and examining her phone, social media activity and recent communications.

Tiwari was a familiar name among social media users in the district, with a substantial following across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. She had also won the Miss Pretty India title in 2024 and was known for creating reels featuring Hindi and Bhojpuri songs, besides maintaining a blog.

Nidhi Tiwari’s Last Social Media Post

Before her death, Tiwari shared a Facebook post reflecting on love, emotional independence and self-worth. The post included the message “Love yourself” and was accompanied by two images representing a half heart and a complete heart.

In the post, she wrote about feeling unfulfilled in love and expressed the idea that she had chosen to complete herself rather than depend on another person to do so.

The post has since drawn attention as investigators look into her recent communications. However, the circumstances surrounding the post and its connection, if any, to her death remain subject to investigation.

Family Describes Her Final Hours

According to her family, Tiwari had recently been in contact with a man from Delhi, reportedly identified as Sonu Singh.

Her family alleged that the two had a disagreement during a conversation. Following the incident, they said Tiwari went to her room, did not have her meal and asked her mother to leave her alone.

Her body was discovered in the room the following morning.

Police are examining the sequence of events and questioning people who may have information about her final hours. The exact circumstances leading to her death have not been established publicly.

Investigators are reportedly examining Tiwari’s mobile phone and social media accounts as part of the inquiry.

Police are also questioning the man she was reportedly last in contact with. Her YouTube channel had a smaller but still substantial audience of approximately 33,000 subscribers.

Her content included reels using Hindi and Bhojpuri songs, while her broader online presence also included blogging and other creator-focused work.

Her 2024 Miss Pretty India title further increased her public profile in the region.

Family Background

Tiwari lived in Singrauli with her mother and younger sister. Her sister is currently studying, while her father, Ashok Tiwari, lives separately from the family.

The family has been cooperating with the investigation as police work to establish the events surrounding Tiwari’s death.
