As anticipation builds for the January 9 release of Jana Nayagan, director H Vinoth has spoken out about actor Bobby Deol’s impressive performance in the Tamil political action drama, questioning why Bollywood has not fully utilized his talent.
In an interview with Tamil magazine Ananda Vikatan, Vinoth lauded Deol’s portrayal of the main antagonist, calling him “pure action-hero material.”
“I don’t know how Hindi cinema let go of Bobby Deol for so long,” Vinoth remarked. “When writing certain characters, we often wonder how they will come across on screen. In this role, he performed far better than I had ever imagined.”
