The Mumbai-born bakery brand has scheduled its first two Kolkata openings for October 30, bringing brownies, cakes and savouries to the city.
Theobroma has announced its entry into Kolkata with two stores in Salt Lake and New Alipore, scheduled to open on Friday, October 30, 2026. The launch marks the bakery and patisserie brand’s expansion into Eastern India.
Both outlets will offer dine-in, takeaway and delivery, according to the launch announcement reported by FranchiseTV.
What will be on the menu?
The Kolkata stores will carry brownies, cakes, pastries, cookies, sandwiches, savouries and beverages.
The announced selection includes Overload and Millionaire brownies, alongside Dutch Truffle and Tiramisu. Festive gift boxes and hampers will also be available through the stores and delivery services.

Kolkata launch begins Eastern India expansion
The announcement was made by Theobroma CEO Rishi Gour, with actor Sauraseni Maitra attending the launch event.
Gour said the company had received requests to enter Kolkata and wanted the stores to serve everyday purchases as well as family occasions. He described Salt Lake and New Alipore as the starting point for the brand’s presence in Eastern India.
For customers, the immediate addition is a choice of two physical outlets alongside takeaway and delivery. Further Kolkata locations were not identified in the announcement reviewed.
