The actor and entrepreneur says understanding product development, retail and daily operations is central to her plans for Tamannaah Fine Jewellery.
Tamannaah Bhatia has expressed a long-term ambition to take Tamannaah Fine Jewellery public, while emphasising her involvement in building the business.
Speaking at NDTV Profit Ignite 2026 on October 28, she said she hoped the brand would eventually pursue an initial public offering. She did not give a timeline or announce an issue size, valuation or formal offer details. Her comments outlined an aspiration rather than a scheduled stock-market debut.
‘I am my own intern’
Tamannaah described herself as the brand’s creative director and said her responsibilities extend to detailed decisions about products and the store.
“I am my own intern. I do all the work,” she said, explaining that she wants to understand different functions before expanding the business further.
She compared that involvement to a film director’s understanding of the crafts involved in production. Learning how the parts work together, she suggested, would help her make better decisions as the company grows.
Building jewellery for more than special occasions
At the event, Tamannaah said she wanted a clear product proposition before entering entrepreneurship. Growing up in a business family influenced her, but she did not want to launch a venture simply because it was an available opportunity.
The brand focuses on fine jewellery that can work across different settings. She described pieces intended to complement everyday clothing, including a white T-shirt and jeans, as well as traditional Indian outfits.
That versatility is central to its positioning: giving customers reasons to wear fine jewellery beyond weddings and major celebrations.
Taj Khazana partnership supports expansion
Tamannaah Fine Jewellery began operations in January 2026 and has a flagship boutique in Mumbai. Its partnership with Khazana, Taj’s luxury retail destination, provides another route into new cities.
The collaboration began in New Delhi, followed by a Bengaluru launch in October. A wider rollout is planned across 10 cities, including markets such as Chennai, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Those locations form part of the expansion plan; the announcement does not mean all 10 are already operating.
According to BW Retail World’s September interview with Tamannaah, the business aims to extend the partnership to 10 cities by the end of 2027. The existing retail network allows the brand to reach customers without opening a standalone boutique in every market.
Expansion comes before any listing timetable
At the Bengaluru launch, Tamannaah told UNI that the venture remained funded through her own capital. She declined to disclose investment figures or revenue projections, saying financial details would be shared at a more consolidated stage.
For now, the concrete developments concern retail expansion and product development. The IPO remains a longer-term ambition, with no listing timetable announced in the remarks reviewed.
