Bollywood actress Shraddha Kapoor is mourning the loss of legendary singer Asha Bhosle, who passed away on April 12 following multi-organ failure. She was undergoing treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.
Shraddha, who shared a close bond with the iconic singer, expressed her grief in a subtle yet emotional way. She posted a broken heart on her Instagram Story along with the song Aage Bhi Jaane Na Tu from the film Waqt, originally sung by Asha Bhosle.
A Personal Loss for the Family
For those unfamiliar, Shraddha Kapoor is the great-niece of Asha Bhosle. Her maternal grandfather, Pandharinath Kolhapure, was the first cousin of both Asha Bhosle and Lata Mangeshkar.
Shraddha often referred to the singer as “Asha Aaji,” reflecting their close-knit family relationship. Her mother, Shivangi Kolhapure, is Asha Bhosle’s niece, further strengthening the personal connection.
