Shagun Sharma has responded to Aman Gandhi’s emotional comments about their past relationship on Bigg Boss 20, saying it was unfair to put pressure on her over whether she should move on.
The relationship between Shagun Sharma and Aman Gandhi has once again become a talking point following an emotional moment involving Aman inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
The two actors reportedly parted ways while working together on Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. During his time on Bigg Boss 20, Aman spoke about the relationship without directly naming Shagun and became emotional while discussing the possibility that she may have moved on.
Shagun has now addressed the episode in an exclusive conversation with Zoom/Telly Talk India, explaining why she felt Aman’s comments placed an unfair burden on her while she was outside the reality-show house.
Aman Gandhi Gets Emotional While Talking About His Past Relationship
While discussing his previous relationship inside the Bigg Boss 20 house, Aman Gandhi reflected on his breakup and expressed uncertainty about what had happened after the relationship ended.
Without taking Shagun Sharma’s name, Aman said:
“Now I feel I understand why she went to South Africa and kept talking only to me. Now it makes sense. I just hope that when I go outside. I am not saying anything right now. I just hope that when I go out, she has not moved on.”
His emotional comments subsequently drew attention because of his past relationship with Shagun.
Shagun Sharma Says the Timing Was Not Right
Reacting to Aman’s comments, Shagun said she felt the subject should not have been discussed inside the Bigg Boss house. At the same time, she acknowledged that being isolated from friends and family could contribute to heightened emotions.
“I feel the thing should not have been said in the Bigg Boss house. But I also understand when you are alone and have no friends, you could get high on emotions. I think the time and place was not right,” Shagun said.
However, she also pointed out that she felt efforts were not made when their relationship was going through difficulties.
“When there was a right time, the person didn’t take efforts,” she added.
‘Nobody Can Decide Whether I Move On’
Shagun was particularly concerned about the public pressure that followed Aman’s comments.
The actress said that decisions about her personal life should ultimately remain hers and that nobody else can determine whether or when she chooses to move on.
“I don’t think anybody can decide whether I move on or I don’t move on. It’s my choice, my life. I have not hurt anybody. I can say it on the face. I have not done anything wrong,” she said.
Shagun also revealed that she had been receiving messages from people asking her not to move on because Aman was missing her inside the Bigg Boss house.
“It’s not cool to put that pressure on me. People are messaging me, ‘Don’t move on. Someone is missing you. He is crying for you.’ It’s not fair,” she added.
Shagun Sharma Clarifies She Is Single
Shagun also addressed speculation surrounding her current relationship status.
The actress clarified that she is single and said she is currently comfortable with that situation. She also made it clear that she is not looking to enter a relationship in the immediate future.
“Someone who is sitting inside should also realise that another person sitting outside will have to face the repercussions, not you,” Shagun said.
She continued, “It’s my life. If I want to or I have to, I will move on. I am not in that phase of dating someone. I am very much single. I am enjoying being single. I am not intending to date anytime soon.”
Her comments suggest that, regardless of Aman’s emotions inside the reality show, Shagun wants decisions about her personal life to remain under her own control.

Shagun Sharma has also remained active professionally. She was previously seen as a contestant on Khatron Ke Khiladi 15, where her performance became a subject of discussion during the season.

Shagun is now preparing for her next acting project, Queen, in which she is set to play the lead role.
