Pooja Bedi has made it clear that she does not want to keep revisiting her past relationship with Aditya Pancholi.
The actor, television host and entrepreneur recently spoke about her personal life in an interview with Vickey Lalwani, where she reflected on the relationship that has remained a subject of public interest for years.
While Bedi described the relationship as a significant and “tumultuous” experience, she also explained why she now prefers to leave that chapter in the past.
Her reason is straightforward: she does not believe repeatedly discussing an old relationship is fair to Pancholi’s children.

She added that anyone interested in the history can find information about it elsewhere, but she does not want to contribute to bringing the subject up repeatedly.
“If people want to read about it, they can Google it. But it is not fair to the children to have this brought up again and again,” she explained.
Pooja Bedi Reflects on Her Past With Aditya Pancholi
Bedi recalled meeting Pancholi after returning from the United States when she was still very young and beginning to follow her parents into the entertainment industry.
She is the daughter of actor Kabir Bedi and celebrated classical dancer Protima Bedi.
During the interview, Bedi described her relationship with Pancholi as an important experience in her life but did not appear interested in reopening all the details surrounding it.
“It was very much an experience. Let’s just put it that way,” she said.
The relationship has been discussed publicly over the years, long after it ended. Bedi acknowledged that questions about it continue to arise but said she has generally chosen not to engage with them.

They Still Occasionally Cross Paths
Because Bedi and Pancholi have both worked in the entertainment industry, completely avoiding each other is not always possible.
Bedi acknowledged that they occasionally encounter one another at industry events and other public occasions.

“I bump into him from time to time, but it is the same industry. At some point, you will obviously bump into someone at an event or an occasion. You can be civil, look away, and walk away.”
Her comments indicate that she sees no reason for unnecessary confrontation or continued involvement.
For Bedi, maintaining basic civility while keeping her distance appears to be the preferred approach.
Why Pooja Bedi Does Not Want the Past Revisited
Bedi’s decision not to discuss the relationship is less about denying that it happened and more about choosing not to repeatedly revisit it.
Her reference to Pancholi’s children was central to that decision.
She noted that his two children are now adults and argued that repeatedly bringing up details from their parents’ past is unfair to them.
That position also reflects a broader shift in how Bedi appears to view her own history. Rather than using an old relationship as a recurring part of her public narrative, she seems more interested in focusing on the life she has built since then.
Pooja Bedi Says Marriage Is Not on Her Agenda
The interview also touched on Bedi’s current personal life and whether she plans to marry again.
Her answer was clear: marriage is not something she currently sees as necessary.
Discussing her relationship with Maneck Contractor, Bedi said they are happy with where they are in life.
She suggested that the commitment itself matters more to her than the formal institution of marriage.
“The commitment is enough. After the commitment is made, all you are really doing is signing a piece of paper and getting the government involved in your love life.”
For Bedi, a committed relationship does not necessarily require a wedding ceremony or legal marriage to validate it.
Her Parents’ Relationship Influenced Her View of Marriage
Bedi also connected her perspective on relationships to the example set by her parents, Kabir Bedi and Protima Bedi.
She said their separation helped shape her understanding of relationships and the importance of being clear about what people want.
Rather than viewing marriage as the only measure of a successful relationship, Bedi appears to place greater emphasis on mutual commitment and understanding.
Her current approach reflects that outlook.
Pooja Bedi’s Family Life
Pooja Bedi was previously married to Farhan Furniturewala. The couple married in 1994 and separated in 2003.
They have two children, Alaya F and Omar Furniturewala.
Alaya has since followed her mother into the entertainment industry and established herself as an actor in Hindi cinema.
Bedi herself became widely recognised through her work in films and television, with Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar remaining among her best-known film appearances.
She later expanded her career into television and business, while also becoming a familiar personality through interviews and public discussions about relationships, lifestyle and personal growth.
A Clear Boundary Around an Old Chapter
Pooja Bedi’s latest comments suggest that she has little interest in allowing her past relationship with Aditya Pancholi to remain a recurring subject.
She has acknowledged that the relationship was an important and difficult experience, but she now prefers to leave its details in the past.
Her reasoning is also rooted in consideration for Pancholi’s children, whom she does not want to see repeatedly exposed to discussions about their parents’ history.
At the same time, Bedi has been open about her current outlook on relationships, making it clear that she values commitment but does not believe marriage is essential.
For now, her message on the Pancholi chapter is simple: the past happened, but she does not believe it needs to be repeatedly revisited in public.
