An Indian-origin social media influencer and YouTuber, Nancy Grewal, was stabbed to death at her residence in LaSalle on March 3, 2026, prompting local authorities to launch a homicide investigation.
Grewal, 45, who was known online for her commentary on Punjab politics and criticism of pro-Khalistani separatist groups, was found with serious injuries at her home. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported her to hospital, but she was later pronounced dead despite medical efforts.
Police Describe Incident as ‘Isolated’
According to a statement from the LaSalle Police Service, the case is currently being treated as an isolated incident.
“The victim is Nancy Grewal, 45, of Windsor. The LaSalle Police Service offers our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Grewal,” police said in a statement.

Investigation Underway in Windsor–Essex Region
Investigators have cordoned off several areas, including two homes, a nearby parking lot, and surrounding woodland as part of the ongoing probe.

Grewal had built a following on social media platforms where she frequently voiced strong opinions about Punjab politics and criticised pro-Khalistan elements. Her posts also included criticism of former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and calls for increased security measures, including the installation of CCTV cameras at religious institutions.
