Drishyam 3 Box Office Collection Day 5: Mohanlal Film Sees Slight Dip on First Monday

Mohanlal’s highly anticipated crime thriller Drishyam 3 continues its successful theatrical run despite witnessing a slight drop in collections on its first Monday.

Released in India on May 21, the film opened strongly at the box office and maintained solid momentum over the weekend. On Day 5, the movie collected approximately Rs 7.35 crore across 4,684 shows in India, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

Drishyam 3 Day 5 Collection Report

With its latest earnings, Drishyam 3 has now collected around Rs 61.80 crore net in India, while the total India gross stands at Rs 71.74 crore.

The film also continued performing strongly overseas, collecting nearly Rs 6 crore internationally on Day 5. This pushed the total overseas gross collection to Rs 84.40 crore.

As a result, the worldwide gross collection of Drishyam 3 has now reached an impressive Rs 156.14 crore within just five days of release.

Occupancy Remains Strong Across Shows

The film recorded an overall Malayalam occupancy of 43.56% on Monday.

According to reports, morning shows registered 26.33% occupancy, while afternoon shows improved to 40.42%.

The momentum strengthened further during evening and night screenings, with occupancy reaching 52.67% and 54.83% respectively.

The consistent evening and night footfall suggests the film continues to benefit from strong audience word-of-mouth and franchise popularity.

Mohanlal Hints at Drishyam 4

Ahead of the release, Mohanlal hinted that the Drishyam franchise could continue with additional sequels in the future.

Speaking during the trailer launch event, the actor joked that Georgekutty still has unresolved troubles, suggesting that audiences may eventually see Drishyam 4 as well.

He later clarified that the idea was not merely humorous and said viewers would decide whether the story deserves future instalments.

The Drishyam franchise, directed by Jeethu Joseph, first began in 2013 and quickly became one of Indian cinema’s most successful thriller franchises.

Drishyam 3 continues the story of Georgekutty several years after the events of the second film.

The narrative follows Georgekutty as his novel becomes a successful film adaptation, bringing renewed media attention and fresh complications into his life.

Alongside Mohanlal, the film stars Meena as Rani George, Ansiba Hassan as Anju George and Esther Anil as Anu George.

The movie has been produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas.
