A jewellery theft case involving Ameesha Patel’s family residence in Mumbai has led to the arrest of a domestic worker, according to police-related reports. Jewellery reportedly valued at around ₹5 lakh, including a diamond-studded gold bangle, was allegedly stolen from the family’s Churchgate home.
Ameesha Patel’s manager also confirmed the incident to India Today, saying that a staff member had been apprehended and was in custody.
The case is currently under investigation, and the allegations against the arrested woman have not been established in court.
Domestic Help Arrested in Jewellery Theft Case
The arrested woman has been identified in reports as 40-year-old Seema Ghate, who had reportedly worked as a domestic help at the Churchgate residence for approximately 18 months.

The Marine Drive police subsequently registered a case and began investigating the alleged theft. A police crime detection team reportedly traced the accused to Virar, where she was taken into custody.
She was later produced before a Mumbai court, which reportedly remanded her to police custody until September 15.
