Alia Bhatt made a striking appearance at the special screening of Aryan Khan’s directorial debut series The Ba**ds Of Bollywood*, channeling timeless ’90s glamour in a look rooted in fashion history. The actor stepped out in a white slip dress inspired by Tom Ford’s celebrated Fall/Winter 1996/97 collection for Gucci—a design that was originally popularised by Kate Moss nearly three decades ago.

The floor-length white jersey gown featured delicate spaghetti straps and a straight neckline, subtly highlighting her collarbones while staying true to the minimalist aesthetic that defined Ford’s transformative Gucci era. The silhouette skimmed the body effortlessly, embodying the understated sensuality that marked 1990s luxury fashion.

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, the look was elevated with a bold metallic belt cinched at the waist—an element that added structure without overwhelming the clean lines of the dress. The styling struck a balance between vintage inspiration and contemporary polish.

Alia paired the ensemble with the iconic Gucci Bamboo 1947 mini bag and fine jewellery from Tiffany & Co., reinforcing the quiet luxury mood. Her accessories were minimal: hoop earrings and a sleek bracelet completed the look without distraction.

For glam, makeup artist Puneet B Saini created a fresh, dewy base with soft bronzer, subtle eyeliner, and natural lashes. Hairstylist Amit Thakur styled her hair into a neat bun, enhancing the refined finish of the overall appearance.

Alia arrived at the screening alongside Ranbir Kapoor, who complemented her look in a sharp all-white suit.

Known for her evolving fashion choices, the actor once again demonstrated how archival fashion can feel relevant and modern when styled thoughtfully. With Rhea Kapoor’s restrained yet impactful approach, the revival of Tom Ford’s Gucci classic felt both nostalgic and refreshingly current.
