Aishwarya Lekshmi has dismissed recent reports claiming that she is part of Allu Arjun and Atlee’s upcoming film Raaka.
Speaking exclusively to India Today, the actor clarified that she has not been cast in the highly anticipated project, despite recent speculation linking her to a role in the film. Some reports had even suggested that she could appear in a negative role.
Aishwarya responded to the speculation with a playful remark, making it clear that she is currently not associated with the film.
“No, I am not part of the film. Somebody please cast me in the film,” Aishwarya said.
Her statement directly contradicts the recent reports surrounding her alleged casting and puts the speculation about her involvement to rest.
Aishwarya Lekshmi Clears the Air on Raaka Casting
The rumours surrounding Aishwarya’s possible appearance in Raaka had gained attention as anticipation around the project continued to build.
However, the actor has now confirmed that she is not part of the film.
Her humorous response also appeared to acknowledge the interest surrounding the project while making it clear that she has not been approached for or cast in the role being discussed in recent reports.
For now, Aishwarya’s name should therefore not be included among the confirmed cast members of Raaka.
Why Is Raaka Generating So Much Buzz?
Raaka is particularly significant because it marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and director Atlee.
The project is being developed on a large scale and reportedly moves between different timelines, combining a contemporary storyline with a historical or Vedic-era setting.
The film’s reported ensemble includes Mrunal Thakur, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, while Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly set to feature in an extended cameo.
However, the makers have kept much of the film’s storyline under wraps.
What Has Been Reported About the Film’s Two Timelines?
According to reports surrounding the project, Raaka features a modern-day narrative alongside a story set in an ancient Vedic or Puranic era.
Mrunal Thakur is reportedly leading the contemporary portion of the story.
The historical segment is said to feature Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna in significant roles.
Reports have suggested that Deepika plays a pregnant woman fighting for survival in the ancient timeline, with her character’s journey intersecting with Rashmika’s role. Janhvi has reportedly been cast as a tribal queen who holds authority within that setting.
These reported character details have not been fully revealed by the makers, who have continued to keep the film’s central plot confidential.
Shah Rukh Khan Reportedly Set for an Extended Cameo
Another major attraction surrounding Raaka is the reported involvement of Shah Rukh Khan.
According to reports, the superstar is expected to shoot an extended cameo for the film during an international schedule.
If confirmed, the project would bring together Shah Rukh Khan and Atlee again following their collaboration on Jawan.
Deepika Padukone is also reuniting with Atlee after Jawan, although Raaka would mark her first reported collaboration with Allu Arjun.
Raaka Teaser Adds to the Mystery
The makers recently unveiled a teaser that offered few concrete details about the story while increasing curiosity around the ambitious project.
The teaser carried the line:
“Beyond what seemed possible. We Dared to Imagine. We Dared to Archive. Raaka: A global triumph.”
An earlier “37” clue had also generated speculation among fans, adding another layer of mystery around the film.
With the makers continuing to reveal information selectively, the film’s characters and storyline remain closely guarded.
What’s Next for Aishwarya Lekshmi?
While Aishwarya Lekshmi will not be appearing in Raaka, the actor has other projects ahead.
She is next set to be seen alongside Arjun Das in #Love.
For now, however, her name has officially been removed from the speculation surrounding Allu Arjun and Atlee’s ambitious project.
