Huma Qureshi Recalls Kiara Advani’s Dedication During ‘Toxic’ Shoot: “Just Looking at Her Was So Inspiring”

Huma Qureshi has opened up about a memorable behind-the-scenes experience from the sets of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, praising Kiara Advani for her commitment while filming a demanding rain sequence during pregnancy.

The anecdote emerged during a pre-release event for Toxic in Chennai, where Huma spoke warmly about her co-star and made it clear to the audience that the story did not reveal any details about the film’s plot.

According to Huma, the sequence required the actors to work in heavy rain and become completely drenched. While Huma was dealing with a severe headache during the shoot, she said watching Kiara continue with the demanding scene gave her the motivation to push through her own discomfort.

Speaking at the event, Huma first reassured fans that she was not about to reveal a spoiler.

“Guys, I have to say a few things about Kiara, it’s not spoiler,” she told the audience before recalling the experience.

Huma explained that she and Kiara were involved in a sequence that required extensive rain effects. The conditions were physically uncomfortable, particularly because Huma was experiencing a bad headache during filming.

The actress said she found herself wanting to complain about the circumstances several times.

But looking at Kiara changed her perspective.

Kiara’s Commitment Left Huma Impressed

Huma recalled that Kiara was around six months pregnant when the sequence was filmed. Rather than allowing the difficult conditions to affect her performance, Huma said Kiara remained focused on the scene.

“Every single time I wanted to complain I would look at her,” Huma recalled while describing the experience.

She added that Kiara was standing through the rain and continuing to perform despite being pregnant.

For Huma, seeing that level of commitment became a source of inspiration.

“And, she was just standing there doing that scene. Standing like a rock. Just looking at her I was like, ‘Oh my god, that is so inspiring,’” Huma said.

The actress then ended the story by expressing her affection for Kiara, telling her, “I love you loads.”

Kiara was present at the event and appeared to acknowledge Huma’s recollection.
