For many beauty pageant contestants, the weeks following a national finale can mean more appearances, shoots and events. Umanga Kumawat, however, returned to a very different routine after competing at the Miss Universe India 2026 finale: her corporate job at Google.

The engineer, who represented Madhya Pradesh at the pageant, recently gave followers a glimpse of her everyday schedule in Bengaluru. Her one-minute “day in my life” video showed how workouts, office hours, coffee breaks and deadlines fit into her routine after stepping away from the pageant stage.

Umanga was among the Top 20 contestants out of 52 finalists at the Miss Universe India 2026 national finale held in Jaipur.

The August 23 event eventually saw Kerala’s Kaziah Liz Mejia take the national title.

Just weeks later, Umanga was back in a familiar environment—her workplace at Google’s Bengaluru campus.

Rather than presenting pageantry and corporate life as two separate worlds, her social-media video offered a glimpse of how she moves between the two.

Umanga Kumawat’s Morning Starts at 9:30 AM

In the video shared on September 14, Umanga begins her day at around 9:30 am.

After getting ready, she heads towards the Google campus. By approximately 10:30 am, she is at the company’s wellness centre, making time for a workout before beginning her workday.

An outfit check follows before she switches from fitness mode to professional mode and settles into her office routine.

What Umanga’s Workday Looks Like

By around 12:30 pm, Umanga is at her desk with her laptop and notebook, getting into her regular work schedule.

Her day then follows a familiar corporate rhythm:

A coffee break around 5:30 pm is another small pause before she eventually heads towards the elevator and brings the workday to a close.

A Glimpse of Life Beyond the Pageant Spotlight

Umanga’s routine offers a different perspective on life after a beauty pageant. The stage may involve elaborate styling, rehearsals, appearances and cameras, but her everyday schedule also includes many of the things familiar to corporate professionals: getting to work, sitting at a desk, taking breaks, exercising and managing deadlines.

Her experience also reflects how pageant contestants can have professional identities beyond the competition. In Umanga’s case, the world of technology continues alongside her interest in pageantry.
