Actress Aditi Malikk has addressed pregnancy speculation surrounding her after a recent social media post prompted comments about her weight and appearance. Rather than allowing the discussion to define how she feels about herself, Aditi used the moment to call for greater sensitivity when commenting on another person’s body.
In a video shared on social media, the actress spoke about the remarks people often make about weight, bloating and changes in appearance. She said comments that may appear casual to the person making them can affect the person on the receiving end.
“You put on weight, you have a lot of weight on your stomach, oh, your face looks bloated,” Aditi said, before urging people to be more thoughtful about what they say.
“I feel everyone should be a little more considerate when they comment, whether it’s in person or on social media,” she added.

Aditi also referred to a post she had shared a few days earlier, which led some people to assume that she was pregnant.
According to the actress, the speculation was largely based on how she was sitting in the photograph or video.
“2-3 days ago, I posted a post where people thought I was pregnant. Because the way I was sitting, I could see my paunch on my stomach,” she said.
Aditi did not allow the comments to change her relationship with her body. Instead, she said she accepts and respects her body, particularly in the context of motherhood.
“I honestly am not very conscious about all this because I love my body, I respect my body, it’s a mother’s body,” she said.

“I personally believe that being healthy is more important,” Aditi added.
‘Comments matter a lot,’ says Aditi
The actress further explained that she does not believe in taking shortcuts when it comes to her health. At the same time, she acknowledged that maintaining healthy habits can be challenging while managing everyday responsibilities and food choices.

“Comments matter a lot. Whatever we comment about, we don’t know when that thing hurts someone,” Aditi said.
She urged people to think about the potential consequences of their words before posting comments online.
“I think we all should understand that. Good day,” she concluded.
Aditi asks social media users to pause before making assumptions
Aditi also accompanied her video with a message asking people to reconsider the way they respond to what they see on social media.
“Not everything you see on social media needs a comment, a question or an assumption,” she wrote.
She pointed out that social media only presents a limited view of someone’s life and encouraged followers to consider whether they would make the same remark in a face-to-face conversation.
Her message was ultimately a call for greater empathy, particularly when discussing subjects such as weight, appearance and pregnancy.
The actress’s response also highlights how quickly assumptions about celebrities can emerge from a single photograph or video. A change in posture, clothing or camera angle can sometimes lead to speculation that has no confirmed basis.
Aditi Malikk and Mohit Malik’s family
Aditi Malikk married her Banoo Main Teri Dulhann co-star, actor Mohit Malik, in 2010.
The couple became parents in 2021 when they welcomed their son, Ekbir Malik. Aditi has since spoken openly about aspects of motherhood and her experience of balancing family life with her professional commitments.
Her latest comments continue that conversation, while also addressing the broader issue of how women are frequently judged by their appearance.
For Aditi, the message is simple: a photograph should not be treated as an invitation to make assumptions about someone’s health, body or personal life.
